Their current digs are a far cry from the early days when Thompson sold and delivered beer from a van. Between live music, bingo and trivia nights, and food truck stops, there's always something happening at Starr Hill. Your precious pooch is welcome on the first-floor patio.   William Wright decided it was time to retire after 40 years in the restaurant business. But just nine months later, Wright discovered he still had the itch. In a stroke of serendipity, the owners of the Red Door were also retiring, so Wright reopened the spot as Henley on Grace. With a wine list that features more than 100 varieties, most of them available by the glass and bottle, you're sure to find some new favorites. The food menu has an emphasis on light, fresh items made with locally sourced ingredients. Henley on Grace opens for dinner at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with brunch served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends.
  
  
• Tazza Kitchen Alverser Plaza - 1244 Alverser Plaza, Midlothian, VA 23113

  The motto at Annie Ruth's Wine Bar & Bistro is, "We don't just make food, we make memories." Mission accomplished with a bright and airy dining room, attentive service, and creative cocktails.
